End Table: Mortises

On walking in: a bottle of Malört on the table. I’m not sure if this was a “It’s gonna be a tough class, take a shot” thing… or a “Boy that was a tough class, take a shot” thing.

Either way – so very much a Chicago thing. I had a good laugh when I saw this on the table.

Our class today focused on working with our legs, and getting mortises set up. I’ve had some slight exposure to drill presses, but using them for mortises was a new experience (but so much better than doing them by hand).

Thanks to Liz, for the action shots.

A challenge for me: my back issues are still around, and standing for 2 hours at a stretch is a bit difficult. I somewhat forget about it during class, but it’s still an issue. As much as I hate to admit it, I’m still infirm.
