Travel and Congestion

Travel day for us. After a full day of work, Liz and I packed up our things and hopped in the car headed for Northville, MI.
It’s a bit of a trek (4 hours or so travel time, but we take the hit of adding an extra hour due to the time zone difference). We got to our hotel fairly late, and ended up just unloading, settling in, and plopping into bed.

An odd/unfortunate thing: around 5:45 AM, I woke up with my nose running like a faucet. I had this tickle in my nose that wouldn’t go away, and I kept sneezing repeatedly.
I went into the bathroom (trying to reduce the noise so I wouldn’t wake Liz). I ended up doing this twice, it was so bad.
Eventually, I ended up shoving some tissues up my nose, and tried to go back to sleep. But all I ended up doing was just waiting in bed, trying hard not to sneeze, and being unable to fall asleep.
I was like this for about an hour and a half, until I eventually got up at 7:30 AM and went to go take a shower.
Not sure what happened here. It feels like allergies, but Liz thinks the speed with which it came on indicates a cold.
Whatever it is, it sure did keep me from getting much rest this AM.
