Our family gathered in Indianapolis this weekend, to pay our respects and say farewell to my Auntie Dawn. I have some photos from the day, mostly from the reception that followed at my sister’s home. Planning to return to this post at some point in the future, to share those images.
Saturday, a lot of the Jung family returned to Indianapolis to attend Grandma Phoebe’s funeral. We are all spread out across the US (and even as far as Shanghai), but came back together again to say our farewells at Crown Hill Cemetery.
Back at our room, we had a long and relaxing afternoon. Lucky us, we found Star Trek on the TV (we just started season one of the original series about a week ago, and are making our way through).
On Friday evening, Liz and I arrived (a little late) and joined my family at my parents’ house. Several family members came back to celebrate my grandma’s 104th (that’s right, 104) birthday.
Surprisingly, the kids were incredibly patient and let us sleep in on Christmas Day. Liz and I were both pretty under the weather (I had a cough and a fever that wouldn’t go away, she was just starting to get sick with a non-stop headache). We slept in until around 10:00 AM and the kids were nice enough to wait…
Today was my dad’s birthday, but we all ended up spending a lot of our time focused on Jasmine again. Today, Shane’s mom Bobbi and his step-dad Dave drove down to wish Jasmine a happy birthday. Of course, we had dim sum at the restaurant. I swear to you – I spent half of my vacation here. L to R…
