Something on the Walls. Finally.
Dave showed up here right at 8 AM, and we went to work. I’ve been trying to put shelves on my walls for some time, but seem to only make this rather large gouges into the wall. Dave is here to help, in exchange for me helping code his Flash site for him. Bartering is the only way to go.
Throughout the morning, Dave runs into some difficulties. Which is good, because it made me feel less of an ignorant ass for not being able to do this myself. Some good quotations from Dave:
"I will not be beaten by an inanimate object. It’s happened before. Twice. But that was in the past. Never again."
"I have no idea what’s behind your walls."
We ran into all sorts of crap: brick, a layer of plywood for some reason, studs that mysteriously started and stopped without any real rhyme or reason. But they’re up now, thanks to Dave.

Dave also helped me to install some pegboards on the main wall:

Hopefully, when I get that paycheck next week, I’m gonna make a trip out to the American Science & Surplus. Gonna build me a nice big Rube Goldberg.
Hm. Someone tell me again why I haven’t been on any dates lately? :)
