Whew!
Work went from meh to holy jebus, towards the end there. Just got back home about 20 minutes ago, and it’s closing in on midnight already. One small thing led to another… throw in a lot of waiting time for some weird permissions problems to get resolved long-distance, and here I am. Tonight’s gonna be more linkage than verbiage, I’m afraid.
On my way out though – I was walking past the Merchandise Mart and stopped by a big display window. The display itself wasn’t all that deep (maybe 5, 6 feet deep tops). The color of the whole interior was a lightish blue, and depicted a rather tasteful, tall table (the kind you might set a vase on). Behind this tall, thin table… the panel on the wall was open, and an old lady (who was cleaning the area) was visible – not all of her, just her arms, upper body and head.
Jackhole that I am, I should have just taken the damn photo. But I waved to her, pulled out my camera, pointed to it, pointed to her and did that "whaddya think" pose, where you half turn your palms to the sky. She laughed (silently, since I couldn’t hear through the glass) and shook her head no. I pushed my palms together and mouthed "please." She laughed some more and said no. I waved to her again and walked away.
Call me silly, but I’m stuck on this whole permission thing.
