Protest

I’ve been really quiet about the war in Iraq. I have lots to say, but right now… I don’t think I have the focus or energy to articulate things well. I had a great talk with rypunked the other night, and while we both acknowledged similar feelings and perceptions… I’m still struggling with how to deal with everything. I’m a fairly non-political person, which is strange because so many of my friends are so very, very, passionately political. I dunno… this is a longer conversation to be had at a later time.

The brief version is this: Justin and Alex got involved in the protest that happened tonight. They called me and I remained at work. I went out with Emma to go see the protesters march down Wacker Drive… a ton of people, a ton of cops, and a ton of positive energy.

As I was about to take a picture, I saw someone wave and it was Justin and Alex. I walked in step with them, reached over a line of cops and gave them my camera.

Sometime next week, I’ll get that thing back and I’ll share with you the images they saw.
