Lazy Saturday

You know, I tend to have a lot of these things. Today, I really didn’t do anything at all. I watched TV and spent most of my time on the couch. Well, it’s worse than that. It’s not like I actually watched anything good – I ended up just flipping through the same crap channels for an extended period of time. I think that, because I was working all day yesterday, I wanted to do the opposite with today.

Oh wait, there was one really funny thing. Damn, I wish I had my camera at the time. There’s this odd Korean (I think it’s Korean) show that airs from time to time. I used to see it on late at night, around 10 or 10:30. I don’t know what the premise is; I don’t understand the terms of the "game." No idea what they’re saying. I can make guesses based on reaction (laughter, cheering, etc)… but the language is nothing remotely close to Chinese.

So anyhow. Teams. Two teams, each typically having to do some sort of "feat." More often than not, it’s some obstacle course type event. A race some days, a timed event on others.

Today? I’m flipping around, and I see this huge 50-foot foam shark, attached to wires, chasing a guy who’s running down a lane filled with styrofoam cubes.

I love this show so much, and I don’t have the slightest clue what it’s called, or what it’s about.

Basically, each person had to run down this lane that was about 2 feet deep with square styrofoam cubes. About 20 meters away, there was a small, stuffed pelican doll, which they then had to grab, turn around, and run back to the starting line. As they’re running, this HUGE shark on pulleys is bearing down on them, from the opposite direction.

This show had me captivated. I wish I had a picture for you… I need to find some way to document this program for you. It’s just that amazing. :)
