I Love My Neighborhood
I had this thought today, walking to get coffee at about 4:30 PM. Gallery Cafe was closed down (earlier than usual, it seemed), so I walked down to Filter instead. I saw Jeff there (I had seen him earlier, when I got coffee from Gallery at about noon), which was rather funny.
Along the way there, and on the way back, I was just really happy to be where I was. I smiled at everyone I passed, I wished all the local shops well. The coffee cup was warm in my hand, and the wind was lightly blowing across my face. Leaves were shivering off the tree limbs in waves. I felt happy and lucky to be where I was.
