Q101 Christmas Party

A switch this year, as we had a very nice meal in a restaurant (last year it was a bowling alley). No gambling this year for me, thank God. He can be taught, ladies and gentlemen.

We were at Magnum’s, and we had a very intimate upstairs room. Prior to this, our group knocked off a little early and went downstairs to Dunphy’s for a drink prior to the big event. All in all, I hopped around, talked with a lot of folks, and had a fairly reserved evening.

Sucks – right around dinnertime, I started to get that splotching thing. With it, I got the headache and the slight shortness of breath that comes with. The food was great (I ended up having salmon), but the entire time I was just itching to leave and get back home.

I stuck around for a quick speech, and the prize giveaways. There was a ton of awesome stuff up for grabs (portable DVD players, Xbox, iPods, digital cameras, palm pilots). Justin came away the big winner for our group, having snagged one of the digital cameras! A great prize to win, despite the fact that he already has a camera. Here’s a shot of the big winner:
