Momentary Pause

For lunch today, we headed across the river to Chipotle (who, surprisingly, has a great web site).

Well, we crossed the river as soon as the bridge came back down.

It’s nice to see that other people enjoy watching the bridges go up, and the ships go by. Today, there were tons of people lined up against the rail, just pausing and watching. Seeing this made me happy. It renewed my belief that people can still retain a child-like awe, no matter how old they get.

This doesn’t happen too terribly often and, so far, this is maybe only the second time we’ve ever had our schedule interrupted by a bridge being up.

I still find the whole process rather fascinating.
