Dinner and a Movie

This is a bad pic, but one of the few I have of the rest of the evening. I bought some Guiness and Harp on the way to Justin’s, and we were working on some Black and Tans prior to dinner. Justin and Stu got some potatoes going, some stuffed mushrooms, and we grilled up some salmon burgers (with spinach and red onions).

The backyard was nice and dark, and remarkably cool. We hung out there a good while, until it started to lightly rain. Went inside and listened to records for a bit (note to self – listen to more Velvet Underground), and ended up watching Shaolin Soccer.

Again – just like at the Dodger, dinner seemed to go on twice as long as it actually did. The movie watching also seemed longer than it was. It was as though today was in a bit of slow motion, affording me additional time to really enjoy what I as doing, and the friends around me.

I left around 12:30AM and headed home, full from food, and a little tired from a day that turned out to be a lot more social than I had imagined. Great, great day today. I hope the rest of the Spring and Summer is like this, I really do.
