Susan Buffett: Five Sayings

I’ve been meaning to post this for a while now, but just never got a chance to. Several weeks back, I was listening to NPR in the morning – in the bathroom, as I was brushing my teeth. A piece came on about Nicole Buffett, the granddaughter of Warren Buffett; this was shortly after he pledged to donate $37 Billion to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

It’s a short piece, and one I’d recommend listening to. The part that really caught me was at the end, where Nicole Buffett recites five saying that her grandmother, Susan Buffett, had. As I was listening to her list off these rules, the last one made me stop and pause. It really caught me off guard. So much so that, some weeks later, I’ve still be thinking about it, and what it means to me.

It’s a good saying. You should take a listen.
