Death Race 2007

Each year thousands of people pay between $100 – $500 to enter the annual Tough Guy race, a course that includes all manner of paramilitary obstacles designed to test strength and endurance.

Oh, and they all sign Death Warrants too, which include the following: “I confirm that if I should die on the Tough Guy route 2007, that it is my own bloody fault for coming. No claim can be made by me or my estate for loss or injury suffered by my failure.”

The checkbox for burial in the nearby cemetary is optional.

ESPN’s Jim Caple covered the event (and the video on the page is great).

I’m now very intrigued by ESPN’s E-ticket series. Looks to be some good stuff in there.
