The Day After Christmas

With so many people to visit and see over the holidays, we didn’t get to see Katie and Dan (and Cameron and Savannah) until the day after Christmas. We all went over to Katie and Dan’s house for a great dinner, and yet another evening of opening presents.

I’m actually really digging all the travelling and visiting. When I was a kid, it was one night of opening gifts and that’s it. Now? It’s like Christmas is spread out over 3-4 nights, with gifts each night. It just gets better and better.

Shortly after dinner, Savannah conks out. Luckily for her, someone moved her plate out of the way just in time.

Paige, who got a great little red wagon as a present. Coupled with the mini-tricycle Liz and I got her, she’s going to be totally mobile in no time.

This wasn’t technically a gift, but still worth noting – later on in the evening, Cameron brought out his Optimus Prime voice-changing mask. Why is it that all the super cool toys get invented only AFTER I’m too old to play with them?
