Post-Launch Daze
Pretty beat today. Spent most of it recovering from a humongo day of work yesterday, trying to get my latest project up and running.
In addition to sending out announcements and all that jazz, I also spent some time tweaking the overall code. Thanks to some good advice from Adam (over at Echo Nest), I found a better approach to retrieve artist/track data from my Amazon bucket for the recent uploads page.
Earlier in the day, I got a decent run of traffic and went over my request limit on the Echo Nest API. Each developer has to register for an “API key” that identifies all calls made to the API, and each key is capped at 1,000 per day.
After a quick exchange via email, I was able to get my limit upped to 10,000 per day. Which should take care of things for a good long while, I suspect.
All in all today, I was pretty happy. Perpertually checking in on the site, and also just in a small daze after finally being done. For the most part, I’m feeling pretty exhausted – and you could likely knock me over with a feather.
The idea of doing nothing seems really appealing, right about now.
