Wedding Party, Emmis Interactive

Liz and I got a great little wedding party, thrown for us at my workplace. Folks gathered in the large conference room and the table was decorated with a wedding theme (and little wedding bells to boot).
We got lots of great stuff – there were appetizers, and a whole assortment of cards and gifts. We got kitchen utensils (teal of course), lots of gift certificates and a great vase (perfect for the flowers we get each week, at the Logan Square Farmers Market).

As a final surprise, Justin, Ben and Allison wheeled in a cart full of drinks: lemon shots, scotch, and some non-alcoholic beverages.
A toast was made, complete with a reading of three custom haikus written by Justin, Ben and Allison. BEST TOAST EVER.
Haikus – is there any message they can’t communicate?
The whole party was quite lovely, and it felt nice to have a little celebratory end to the day. There was a little bit of awkwardness on my part, as I’m not terribly comfortable being the center of attention. But… I guess we’ll have plenty of that in about a month or so.
Thanks, guys!
