Someone Once Told Me: Photo Project, People and Text

Someone Once Told Me is a great collection of photos, each one featuring a person holding a sign with something they were once told.
Some are silly, some are incredibly touching. What I love (besides the great Repetition and Variation) is the space between the person and the saying. I find myself trying to imagine the context or the scenario where the person was told this, and there’s just a richness to this imagined backstory.
Similar to projects like Found and PostSecret, I feel these images give you a very brief glimpse into someon else’s life. As an extra, some of the images featured also come with video and audio commentary.
An older project of mine (You Are I Am) has a similar take, featuring photos of people and a short written message.

This is so awesome! I love Postsecret, Found, LATFH.com, and of course, Awkward Family photo, so this is right up my alley. You always find the cool shit, Felix. : O )
