Intercom Carols
Tonight, we had carollers visit us! Which was unusual, since we live on the 3rd floor of a very large apartment complex.
Around 8PM, our buzzer went off. When I went to go to the intercom, to ask who it was… this is what I heard:
I have to admit – I’ve joined groups singing house to house before… but I’m not sure what to do when receiving carollers. I thought, briefly about heading downstairs to open the doors for them… but at that point, didn’t know what to do.
I felt like I’d just appear downstairs, all slack-jawed, and just stand there with a large group of people serenading me. I decided not to, and just listened upstairs. At the time, I didn’t think to bring them any food or drink, and just listened to them finish their song and move on.
Here’s a quick photo of the large group, who moved on to the houses next door.
Being in a top floor apartment, having carols sung to me wasn’t something I even thought was possible. This was a nice surprise, right before the holidays.
