Happy 101st Birthday, Grandma Phoebe – Part 1

Liz and I headed to Indy on Friday, to celebrate my grandma Phoebe’s 101st birthday. Lots of family were coming in for the weekend, and we had not one… but two separate events. And by events, I mean us gathering together to eat food.

Despite leaving Chicago a little earlier to make the 7:30 PM dinner time… I made a miscalculation. I factored in the time change the day before, but totally forgot about it while we were on the road. So about halway to our destination, I realized we would end up arriving about an hour late.

Luckily for us, things didn’t start right on time. So with a bit of a delay at the restaurant (and a pretty zippy final hour, heading down to Indy)… we showed up a little bit after everyone sat down to eat.

Fittingly, the place we were going for dinner was called On Time Chinese Restaurant.

I didn’t get a ton of photos from the evening, as I was kind of beat from the drive in. But I did capture a bit of video of us singing Happy Birthday, along with one of the biggest birthday candles I’ve seen:
