An Empty Wish List

Each year, when my birthday rolls around… Liz inevitable asks me what I want. And I always find myself at a loss.

I don’t tend to really want anything. I like video games, sure. I’ve gotten several video games recently, but never seem to find the time to actually play them. I don’t have a desire for an elaborate computer setup. I have a fairly old Macbook, a decent monitor… and that’s about all I really need?

I’ve played with the idea of getting a mechanical keyboard, but that’s not really something someone can get as a “gift” for me. There’s the big question of switches, which really makes or breaks things… and that’s a very personal preference that I’ve yet to figure out.

Also – I think a mechanical keyboard would drive Liz crazy, given how close the bedroom is to the office currently.

It feels weird not to actually want anything. I always seem to be hard pressed to make a list of gift ideas, regardless of the holiday or reason.
