Those Look Like Dueling Gloves

One of the gifts I got Liz for Christmas was a course in gold leafing gilding. In addition to the online course, I also opted to purchase some of the materials directly from the instructor (as opposed to trying to piece things together myself, through Amazon).

The downside: I ordered too late, as the instructor is based in the UK. And the shipping time for the items was really, really delayed.

Well, nearly a month later… the items have arrived. On opening the box, I noticed that one of the items was a pair of white gloves.

Which, to me, looked like dueling gloves. The kind of thing you’d take off and slap someone with, demanding satisfaction.

I am a product of the cartoons I’ve watched. So I’m tracing this back to Bugs Bunny and Homer Simpson.
