Crooked Fingers: Andalucia
After falling for their song Sleep All Summer, I started listening more to Crooked Fingers. Specifically – the rest of the album, Dignity and Shame.
For some reason, Andalucia has been stuck in my brain. Like, a lot. As in: I wake up, and this song is running in my head before my feet hit the floor. It’s a little distressing, truth be told.
This is not a song I’d expect to like. And I’ve been turning it around in my hand, trying to figure out what it is that makes it so catchy. And why I can’t seem to extricate it from my brain.
My best guess is the syncopation. I really can’t seem to shake this song. I’m sharing it here, in the off chance that when it gets stuck in your brain… perhaps it will release its death grip on my brain.
