Boulder Tasting
Liz got a sampler pack from Boulder Spirits, and we had a fun/impromptu tasting tonight after work.
Liz was interested in their Bourbon (finished in a Sherry cask). But I do have to say – we both quite liked their whiskies.
Very bright/fresh. And surprisingly, the peated whiskey was not a monster – and very enjoyable, with a balance of peat and slight sweetness. It reminded us a lot of a lighter Bunnahabhain.
My palette still pales in comparison to Liz’s, but I’ve gotten more comfortable talking about what I smell and taste. And quite enjoy comparing notes with her.
