The Helicopter Hallucination

I forget the actual day this happened, but Liz and I were heading out to Lake Shore Drive… and we saw this helicopter swoop by. The thing of it is: neither of us heard it. We just saw it.
Now, I’m no veteran. I’ve had zero military experience. But I understand enough about helicopters to know that they’re loud. That even far away, far up in the sky… helicopters are loud.
This thing… was not.
We were around here in our car, and this helicopter just whooshed by, between us and the lake. I want to say it was about about the same height as the light posts in the distance there. It seemed really, really low to the ground.
I remember precious few details. Liz thinks she saw some kind of stick sticking out of the front of the helicopter. It was just a blur that shot by, and was instantly gone.
It was so fast, and so surprising, that Liz and I had to ask if the other person actually saw a helicopter. Because we were both incredibly confused.
I want to place this about 3-4 weeks back. I had completely forgotten about this, until now. I’ve tried to search a little online, but no idea what to even search for. “Completely silent helicopter near me” is the stuff of crazy person search histories.
I know what we saw. I just don’t know what it was that we saw.

I was on a beach in LA. I saw a falling helicopter almost crash onto the beach and land on people. At the last second, the chopper righted itself and flew off. What freaked me out was that the chopper was falling upside down and that only one other person who was with me saw it. Keep in mind, there was a huge crowd.
