Chicago at Night
Most days, going to and from work – I’m in a rush. I’m rushing to get to work; I’m rushing to get back home.
Every once in a while, if I get lucky, I’ll see something that slows me down. Or I’ll remember that I should slow down a little.
It’s been a long while since I’ve carried a camera around. But with a camera in your hand, that weight is what serves as a reminder. That weight says: “Wait a minute, just… wait a minute. Did you see that over there?”

The thing about winter – it gets dark so early. It makes for a short day, but it’s lovely to see the lights on downtown, on the way home.

I have some earlier photos from this location, probably taken around the early 2000s. But for the life of me, I can’t seem to track them down (I’ve searched a ton of tags, and have spent the last 15+ minutes searching blog entries, to no avail). Ugh.
It sure is lovely, with the lights on.

Spotted this little sign in a parking lot, on my way to the train station.
