Playing Kelp (or Rather, Learning to Play Kelp)

After a long day, Liz and I decided to unwind a bit by playing one of the new games I purchased: Kelp.

This was a recommendation from Shut Up & Sit Down, a site I really like for their reviews and recommendations.

We got a late start, and I think we settled in around 9PM. But most of our time was looking over the instructions and slowly reading them out loud as we set things up together.

And we’re off! With the board set, we got into playing our first round of the game.

Overall, I think the rules take a while to comprehend if you haven’t played before. But going through it once, things are clearer… and I can see how playing this game would be a bit faster, once you know how things work.

Excited to see how this game fares. There seems to be a bit more depth to things, and replayability seems high.
