The Paradox: Bender

Since I first came across The Paradox, I’ve been listening to several of their songs on Spotify. I do have to say – they’ve got a lot of very catchy, infectious songs.

The one I’ve been listening to more lately is Bender. And they have a pretty silly music video for it, to boot:

How did I end up going on a bender?
I hate attention, but I’m right in the center of the room
And it’s spinning so I’m holding on to you

Here’s an interesting thing: on this song, I was actually getting drawn to the drum work. I’m a fairly melodic guy, with a writing background… so I tend to focus on the guitars and the lyrics/notes. But I was listening a lot more to the drums on this song.

While I’m somewhat familiar with Blink-182, I didn’t recognize the name Travis Barker (I thought the mention in the song title was for a vocalist).

Fun discovery that I was pulled to the percussion, without a direct prompting. Fun song overall (drums in particular).
