Lazy Day, Travel Prep

This is a bit out of order, but sharing a few photos from before our trip to Scotland. I was rushing a bit before our departure, and wanted to see about some clothes for hiking.

So we took a lazy weened day and headed out, shopping but taking our time. Trying not to stress. And just going place to place, trying to be at ease.

I say we, but I mean me. I tend to get anxious and time conscious whenever we run errands. It’s an unnecessary thing that I’ve been trying to work on, because… it’s just errands?

Today was definitely a lazy day, by design and execution.

First stop: REI. And again, they have the most amazing indoor parking lot in all of Chicago. It’s so absolutely quiet in here – I cannot tell you how lovely it is.

There are times (and I say this in all seriousness) that I think it would be awesome to just pull in here, and take a nap. It’s just that quiet.

Stopped over at the nearby Off Color Brewing for lunch. The outside was pretty packed, and the inside was fairly busy… but we found a side room that we mostly got to ourselves.

I forget the name of the pizza place that set up a popup store, just inside the entrance. A nice way to add food to an establishment, that may not have a direct food license.

We were able to order some different pieces, and got our heated up order about 20 minutes later.

A little beer, a little pizza. And thinking about Scotland.
