Backerboard, Upstairs Hall

Doing a bit of prep work tonight upstairs, after work. We had a new closet added above the stairs, right across from the furnace room. And got electrical wired up.

Following some good advice from Bob, we’re putting in a length of plywood a the base of the walls. This will allow us to affix trim with a bit more ease, instead of trying to locate and hit the studs directly.

A view of the top of the stairs. Will be nice to see this closed up. And at some future point, to get some railings here. I can hear Osha silently screaming in the distance.

We’re getting drywallers in, to attend to all the walls and ceiling. This looked nice once upon a time, before we got electrical put in. This will all likely get torn out, so that the drywallers can start fresh/anew.

It’s difficult to describe. I’m excited to be able to see drywall all around here (and to stop seeing studs and insulation drooping down).
