Unable to Relax

We’ve been here a few days now. And while Liz and I are working our regular day jobs 9-5… there’s not much requiring our attention or energy, beyond making sure we have dinner.
We’ve mostly just plopped in front of the TV most nights. A small bit of cooking, but a whole lot of sitting and resting.
The odd thing is – I don’t feel rested. I don’t feel relaxed. I seem to be still stuck in some mode where I’m waiting for the next task to be done.
It’s quiet where we are (very few neighbors), the house is comfortable (we have a gas fireplace). There’s nary a thing to complain about.
But still. This feeling like there’s stuff to do. That my brain still feels locked in some kind of mode where it’s running at a high rate, unnecessarily. But doesn’t quite feel like it’s able to slow down.
