The Flash is Enjoyed By All

Well, this morning I showed Ben what I did over the weekend, and he seemed happy to see the progress. I think I surprised him, as he was only expecting a few components – and not 90% of the functionality. When Rey saw it, he didn’t seem all that enthused, but I guess the important thing is that both Ben and Justin were excited.

Wish there was something I could do that would definitely impress Rey. I feel like he’s going to be a big factor in deciding whether or not I work at Emmis beyond October. While my technical prowess may not be as high as Ben or Justin, I’m hoping that my dedication and drive offset any initial shortcomings.

Work today went well – Justin gave me another brief tour of things, and Ben helped me work through a few, small tasks. In addition to teaching me about Q101’s site layout, he also was a very good teacher in terms of laying out text and graphics. Having come from a writing background, it’s nice to be able to get advice/critique/direction regarding web pages.

I have a lot to learn, but I also have some great resources to learn from. It’s a good thing.
