Another Day

It’s gotten pretty slow and sluggish around the office this week. Everyone seems to be able to feel the holildays approaching, and the hallways have filled with molasses. I played Mike in a game of chess (good game), and the hours just ticked by.

Jacqui, a old friend from my high school days (she was an exchange student visiting from Down Under) hit me up on ICQ near the end of the workday. That was pretty cool – we chatted briefly, before I took off for the train.

Tomorrow should be fun at work. The Sales Department is throwing a Christmas party, and rumor has it there will be excellent food. I’m talking mamosas and bloody marys and belgian waffles and all sorts of stuff. Apparently, there’s a guy in Sales who, each year, makes some kind of egg/sausage thing – but it’s from a secret family recipe that gets handed down through the males in the family. No one writes it down – they pass it along through memorization. Ben was raving about whatever this dish is, and I’m looking forward to drinks and food tomorrow. :)
