Inspiration. Or Possibly Beer.

Last night, I was talking with TS7 and we swapped a few mp3 files. I gave him some songs by Múm, one of which was a song called Green Grass of Tunnel. I’ve actually been playing that one on a loop, and (here’s my phrase that I like so much), it’s been making my toes curl.

I did some digging around, and came across a couple of cool things to share. One is a video someone made for Green Grass of Tunnel. Another thing is The Blue Room DJ Session, a 53 MB recording that I’ve downloaded (but haven’t listened to yet).

Actually, after viewing that video (and the sound isn’t so hot, at least in the High Quality QT version), I felt a bit inspired. I started to wonder whether I wanted to try to make some sort of Flash-based animation, using the song as my guide. I did something similar, with a song by my friend Kevin, and that was just plain fun. I got that fuzzy feeling that wow, maybe I want to put my energies into this idea, and maybe this is the sort of personal project that I haven’t been doing lately…

and then it sort of faded.

We’ll see. I’ve been listening to this song so obsessively lately, that I bet I’m going to do something with it.
