Post-Work

This is me, relaxing on my porch with a beer after work. Prior to this, I stopped off at Reckless Records and picked up a copy of Mum’s "Finally We Are No One." I had it playing on a portable CD-player, inside the apartment, pressed up against an open screen window. The sun was just starting to set, and I just relaxed to it playing as I sank a beer.

I got out some paper to try to write but, despite the fact that I didn’t get anything good… the sheer attempt felt nice.

Here’s what the sky looked like, right as I sat down. It wasn’t blazing hot warm, but more muted and quiet, an angled light that made me feel like the day was yawning.

Fairbanks, my landlord’s dog, came down and hung out in the yard a while. Here he is guarding the front gate like… uh… Cerberus… if he had… two less heads…

yeah.
