Suuuuuper Geeeeeenius

So they wheeled in the front door for the UltraCrib contest today. Vic was working on wiring up the lock so that a siren and flashing light would go off once it was opened. In case you haven’t read about this on the blog, there’s a contest going on right now at Q101. Part of the giveaway is an apartment (rent free) for a year, and I happened to sneak over there about a month back. Anyhow… the contest ends tomorrow, when they determine a winner.

There is a lot of crap they’re giving away. In addition to the apartment, you also get a maid that shows up once a week, a BMW, and a Ducati motorcycle. Oh, and about $10,000 cash. It’s nutty.

So far, they’ve been calling a few names each day, and everyone who gets called is eligible for the drawing. Tomorrow, at Joe’s, they’re going to pick 10 (maybe it’s only 5, I forget) random people from that pool. Each person will get a key and, one by one, they’re going to try to open the door. The person whose key opens this door wins everything: the apartment, the car, the motorcycle, the cash.

I’m debating still whether or not I want to attend the event. It seems fun, but it would end up being just me alone I think. Kicking around the idea though.
