Early AM Ramblings

For the last half of this past week, I’ve been looking over old work more. In the mornings, after showering and getting dressed for work… I’ve indulged myself by reading a few of the poems I have taped up on the walls around the apartment.

I think this is a postive sign. I’ve been wanting to review my work more and, though I haven’t sat down to actual writing, I’ve been reviewing a lot more – mine, reading others, thinking about it.

Of course, I’ve had moments like this before that have dissipated. Hopefully, I’ll snap into something of a schedule. I got into a good groove exchanging poems with Matt, and had an incredibly productive couple of months.

I wonder if it’s the fact that I surround myself with more tech folks (and not more writer folks) that make me focus my energies on the computer side of things. Hmm.

I’ve gotten a lot of strong, positive encouragement from both Juliet and Matt the past few weeks. I had a big converastion about art and my rampaging ego (when it comes to poetry) with Ben last Monday, and I feel like the whole writing thing is forcing its way to the surface again.

Time will tell, I guess. But I’m hoping.
