Long Night

I don’t think either of us expected the night to go on a long as it did. I had in mind that we’d be able to get our work cranked out fairly quickly. I thought it was going to be a late night, but not dawn late, you know?

Ah well, it all worked out. Besides, I get slower and slower with each hour past 1:00 AM :)

I’ve been hard at work getting Ben’s design for the P3 site wired up and functional. Even now, looking over it… I know there are ways I can improve the code, optimize the file sizes, etc. But I’m happy to let it stand for the time being. I’m pretty proud of it, as it’s one of the more involved projects I’ve done (navigation-wise).

The stuff we’re making at work as a team is growing with each project. I look back over the things we made a year ago, and today’s work surpasses it by leaps and bounds. Even with these long days and late nights, it still doesn’t feel exactly like work. There’s still a bit of fun tied in to everything, due in no small part to the place where I work and the people I work with. The moment this stuff stops being fun, it’s probably time for me to look to another line of work.
