Riding Giants is pretty spectacular. Definitely check this thing out when it hits the theaters. Great documentary, and it steps you through a lot of surfing’s history. The stories from each of the surfers were often as good as the video of the waves they rode.

I kept hearing great things about Stacy Peralta’s Dogtown and Z Boys, and now I’m really interested to see that one as well. I have been for a while, but now I’ve just got even more of a reason to rent that thing.

Odd sidenote: while I was hanging out drinking at the Lake Church Inn, the TV there was on some channel called “Fuel.” And the whole time we were there (several hours), all that was on were these old-style videos of surfers. They all looked like they could have been home videos, every one of them.

After the movie was over (I went there with Justin and Stu), the three of us walked down to Old Town and found a Chinese-type place for a late dinner. Hung out there a while, and got caught up on things.

I should have taken some pictures today, but I simply wasn’t in the mood.

It’s 11:30 PM now and, though I’d like to go back and work on some pics from this weekend… I’m also not in the mood.

Think I’m just gonna go plonk down on the bed.
