Random Texas Holdem

This afternoon during our lunch break, Andy stops back. He finds out that a few of us in Interactive are fond of the Starbucks DoubleShot. And so… he brings in a few cases from the prize closet. Sweeeet.

But wait – what’s this? Once we break out the cans from the case, someone yells out that we should use the cans as poker chips. And next thing you know… cards are being dealt.

We divvied up the cans (approximately 6 cans per person). For the record – I won the first two rounds. Awww jeah.

In the middle of a hand, Rey (our boss) walks in. He looks at the table and asks “What are you guys doing?” After inspecting the table a bit closer, he sees the cards and realizes we’re playing poker… using the cans as chips. He says “you guys are sick, you know that?”

And then, when we ask him if he wants to play he says “Yeah, I’m in.”

Rey, dominating the game. However, if memory serves, Mike ended up coming back from behind to win it all.

Mmmmm. Doubleshots. An excellent source of caffeine, and serving as makeshift poker chips in a bind.

I think, ever since our first game, a lot of us have been bitten by the bug.
