An Afternoon of Packing

I went over to Liz’s place today, to help out with some pre-move packing. I’m looking to take off next Friday to move a ton of boxes in the hopes that, come Saturday… all we’ll have left to move is the big/heavy stuff.

Today, we worked on the living room, the office, and the kitchen. Mostly just wrapping fragile items and getting boxes ready. I was pretty amazed by the fact that Liz likes to keep the boxes to the things she owns… but I have to admit, having those boxes around really made the whole packing process a little easier.

Lots and lots of candles.

Temporary pantry.

Glassware.

Additional packing suppplies – with her job at Crate and Barrel… Liz has access to a ton of good supplies: boxes, and tissue.

It’s looks really small in retrospect, but we did do a good deal of work in about four or five hours. Good progress today, and I’m feeling much better about how the coming week will shake out.

After finishing up the kitchen (mostly), we headed over to Goose Island for some beer and burgers.

I’d like to note that the smileyface was Liz’s handiwork.

I’d also like to note that this is technically the second hamburger smiley, the third hamburger ketchup design, and the fourth ketchup doodle to make my blog.

It’s all part of the tapestry of what I do here. :)
