Breakfast @ The Bongo Room

Liz and I decided to head out for a nice breakfast, and decided on the Bongo Room. We tried to go a few weeks back, but always ended up getting deterred by the line (and there’s always a line).

But today we were able to get there early enough to beat (most of) the morning rush.

Here’s a quick shot of the interior.

I was boring, and ended up getting an omelette. I was tempted by some of the sweeter breakfast items, but ultimately decided that I wanted something heartier.

Liz ended up getting the zucchini and pumpkin pancakes. I wasn’t sure about the combination, but after taking a bite… I totally understood why those were paired together.

It’s been over three years since we last ate here. I find it kind of awesome and disturbing that I can pinpoint, to the day, the last time I ate at a particular restaurant.
