Interview with Jim Coudal of Coudal Partners
Design Glut has a nice interview with Jim Coudal of Coudal Partners, a Chicago-based design agency that’s… wel, taken matters into their own hands.
While the company had a successful track record of doing high profile work, they’ve also been recognized for projects they’ve initiated themselves. So much so that the majority of their “work” comes from projects generated in-house.
I don’t know what’s next! It’s kind of a joke, but we’re proudly “without business plan” in our 13th year. We’ve had a lot of things not work, and that’s OK too. If it’s a good idea and it gets you excited, try it, and if it bursts into flames, that’s going to be exciting too. People always ask, “What is your greatest failure?” I always have the same answer – We’re working on it right now, it’s gonna be awesome!
There’s lots of fun stuff on the Coudal site. In addition to their products, make sure to check out Verse by Voice, Layer Tennis, the Museum of Online Museums and Booking Bands (a contest where they got submissions for band and book title mashups).
