Dastardly – Freight Train
My friend Sarah is in a band called Dastardly. She sings and plays accordian. She is very good at both.
They were in Austin recently, at SXSW. And though they didn’t have any official showcases, they did catch the eye of Jeff Weiss, who writes for the LA Times Music Blog. And who wrote some pretty cool words about the band.
The video (below) is the group doing their song Freight Train as part of Kitchen Sessions, a Boston-based home concert series. I love how chaotic things feel at the beginning of the song… which only increases the awesomeness, when things resolve and fall together at around 1:03. Good stuff.
