Photos Capturing an Old Tube TV Being Turned Off

Luminant Point Arrays is a small series of photos by Stephan Tillmans capturing the exact moment when an old tube-based television is turned off.

I don’t know what it is about these photos, but I find them a little mesmerizing. When I look at them, I get these abstract feeling of mathematics and orderly decay. Lovely stuff, and I’m sad he’s taken his portfolio offline for the time being. Would be nice to check out more of his work.
