Mark Ronson: Uptown Funk (Featuring Bruno Mars)

A week or so ago, I came across a random track via Rdio. It’s “Uptown Funk,” by Mark Ronson (and featuring Bruno Mars).

I’ve never really heard anything by either person, but got hooked on the track. In fact, I’ve been playing it a good deal on my commute in to work.

It’s surprising, as this song is not really not normally my thing, and very different from most everything else in my collection. But since I’ve listening to this track so much lately… felt like it was worth sharing.

Also? My friend Liam posted the video on Facebook today. I had no idea this was out, and was gaining so much popularity. Apparently, a lot of people seem to like this song (me included).

One small note: the line “Bitch, say my name” sticks out at me. It’s really kind of jarring, and makes me wince every time I hear it. A unnecessary moment in an otherwise great song.
