A Random (and Wet) Walk Around Jackson Park
On Saturday, with the weather taking a turn above the 40 mark… Liz pulled me away from my computer, and decided we needed to explore a little more. We drove out to Jackson Park, and found ourselves near Bobolink Meadow (located just south of the Museum of Science and Industry).
The path was a bit mixed, with some patches of snow. Not sure if you can spot it, but MSI is there in the distance, behind the trees.
Looking across the lagoon. It’s interesting to see this area covered in snow, and would be lovely to come back when everything has fully melted away.
After a while, the trail got a little too wet for us to continue. The snow turned into a slushy, wet mix… and my shoes were not equipped for the full path.
We definitely need to come back here, to explore more. I’ve seen a few photos of Osaka Garden, and would love to find our way onto the Wooded Island, in the middle of the lagoon. Though there’s snow on the ground, today definitely felt like the first days of Spring have arrived. Even if they’re not technically due for a few more days, yet.
