Family of the Year: Hero

Came across Family of the Year a week or so ago, and immediately got hooked on the song Hero. The rest of the songs on the album (Loma Vista) are ok, but this one really stands out.

Honestly, I haven’t given the other tracks much attention as I just end up playing this song. Over and over again.

It’s basic and prevalent in a lot of songs, but there’s just something so terribly soothing about the chord progressions here: the shift from Am to Em to F. Like a car turning a corner slowly, only to straight out and continue on its way.

This song is just ever so slightly out of my range. I can hit that F, but my voice gets a little shaky. Might be something to try.
