An Unexpected Porch Guest

While I was taking out the trash last night, I happened to see a small outline on one of the chairs on our front porch. After letting my eyes adjust a bit, I looked closer and saw one of the neighborhood cats just… lounging about, without a care in the world.

There are a good number of cats roaming Hyde Park, and most of them seem to have homes (given the collars I’ve seen). With our wide backyard, we tend to see a few of these guys prowling around.

We’ve seen hiding out under our car, under our front porch steps, slipping between the backyard fences. But seeing one literally hanging out on our porch was a first.
