Sleeping, Waiting
With our overnight stay, Stacey and I crashed for most of the day. I was out for a good while (sleeping until 2:30PM or so), though I don’t think Stacey slept all that much – catching a few catnaps during the day.
In the afternoon, we headed back over to grandma’s and met up with Uncle Corky, Auntie Dawn, and Jordan – who had travelled back to Indianapolis from Ohio. Like me, they had been here earlier in the week, and then returned home – only to turn around back to Indianapolis on hearing that grandma’s condition had taken a downward turn.
Aunt Becky was on her way in to Indianapolis, but her flight had been delayed. After talking a while with everyone, Stacey, Jordan, and I decided to head back to Stacey’s house. I took a quick nap, then joined everyone else for dinner.
On talking with my dad, I learned that Aunt Becky was slated to arrive later in the evening. And that one of the siblings would be spending the night with grandma, staying in the room with her.
With the evening hours covered, we decided to just stay home and get some rest. I put down a lot of food, and decided to go to bed early. Though we didn’t know exactly who was staying the night with grandma, Stacey and I planned on arriving in the morning to relieve whoever was there.
A lot of the day today, for us, was mostly sleeping and waiting.
