Storefront Construction

There’s been a lot of construction in the Shopping Mall along 55th. Since Treasure Island closed down, there’s been some significant construction going on in their space. But this small spot, that used to house a bicycle repair shop, has remained vacant for some time.

Today, on walking by, it looks like a similar bit of construction has been going on here as well.

It was curious to both me and Liz that the windows were taken out, as part of whatever’s going on. Maybe it had nothing to do with constrcution, and was just easier to move some equipment in this way? Either for the work or for the future business?

In hindsight, I forgot to look when I was walking home… because I’m sure they couldn’t have just left things open for anyone to walk in. Need to start asking around, to see what’s coming in to these new spaces.
